[Work in progress ]

Abstract: The narratives generated techno-social spaces are equipped with a hybrid component that gives specificity. Hybridization is the process of complex interaction that occurs between the technologies embedded (embedded ) in the physical life of the subjects and practices that are to assemble ideas, meanings and objects through the mediation device. Occasionally, hybridization between systems and practices are produced through iterative overlapping processes that occur on platforms equipped with special logic. An example of such hybridization is the carrying transmedia, bringing together experiences from different platforms and formats articulated through a common narrative (storytelling ) adapted to each scenario. This article explores the elements that characterize the transmedia narratives generated in hybrid scenarios, based on the conceptualization of different elements and also using information from applied experiences. The analysis will take into account advances affecting the techno-social structure in several areas where the hybridization between subject-device is more obvious, such as immersive virtual worlds, open innovation ecosystems or environments based practice full ownership in technology. As background to the analysis, elements are introduced for discussion on the limits of conventional digital narrative, the changing contexts of practice and processes of negotiation of meaning in expanded settings.

Keywords: Scenarios hybrid digital narratives, expanded practice, transmedia storytelling , virtual worlds, open ecosystems.
